Still on the theme of car shows, you see a lot of aftermarket wheels at events like that. Stock wheels are generally thought of as being too boring, so one of the biggest major investments people make in their car is to get custom rims.
The last time I was at a car show, I saw some really fantastic wheels. Most car shows in my neighborhood are dominated by vintage and late model American muscle cars, so you don't see many Lexus wheels or Audi wheels. However, there is a certain style of custom wheels that is very American, perhaps because I see it so often favored on American cars and trucks.
I really enjoy going to car shows and seeing what accessories like wheels people have chosen for their cars. If you are thinking of buying wheels for your own car, it's a good way to get a feel for how different wheels look before you make a decision yourself. You can also talk to other owners about their wheels, what they like and don't like, and what they would recommend.
If you are a car enthusiast, I highly recommend visiting a car show and poking around. The many beautiful cars you'll find there are like eye candy!
